"The Blue Pike Independent Music Awards is an Erie County based event with a focus on the local music scene, and original music. It comes to you courtesy of Basement Transmissions, PACA, and The Erie Reader. We all care deeply about music at a local level and would like to celebrate with everyone who writes original music in the Erie area. This year we are working in association with The Box, Gimp Guy Underground and several other promoters/venues/enthusiasts from around town to bring you the most all-inclusive awards show possible! 
Since music can’t be judged the same way as other, less abstract things, the intentions of the Blue Pike Independent music Awards will be more about recognition than competition. We strive to include every working class musician in the Erie area and get the award to the most deserving band in each genre. So grab a ticket and come celebrate original music with us this year!"
