Welcome to Basement Transmissions' bi-weekly open mic night! This is a free event hosted once every other week to promote local musicians, artists, comedians, poets, and people alike! There's a lot that's going on, so please check the list below!
Bi-Weekly Open Mic Nights:
-Hosted in the BT Cafe (Back Room)
-Free entry, but donations help so much! (Even a few dollars!)
-Pre-organized 20 minute sets for artists who contact us before hand
-lots of open mic time, so feel free to hop up on stage!
-Wednesdays from 6-9pm
-Food and drinks from the Cafe!
-Instruments readily available! (guitar amps, drums, keyboards)
-hookups for computers, ipods, etc. for electronic performers
To the Musicians/performers:
If you would like a set time, please message me on Facebook, or post right here in the group page and we'll get you set up! We have instruments and amps ready to go at the venue, so feel free to bring a guitar, and you can plug right in. There's plenty of space for multiple instrumentalists, so if your band wants to come up and play some songs, feel free to! We would love to see individuals who have material in electronic form too, so if you have preset tracks to play along to, or are an electronic artist, bring your computer and other materials and plug in! Crowd participation is encouraged!
To the Artists:
We would love to see you show off your art skills! Bring some materials, sit down, and draw up next week's flyer for us! Be sure to include "Basement Transmissions Weekly Open Mic Night" on the flyer, and we'll credit your art for the following week(s) on the flyer and our page right here!
To the listeners:
Bring some homework, a friend, or something interesting! There are chairs and tables, good food, and friendly people all around. Owner Robert Jensen will be in, and he loves meeting everyone who comes in! Spread the word, and enjoy the atmosphere of open mic hours at Basement Transmissions!
